ADRIAN BYRON BURNS; GROOVEMEISTER
Adrian Burns is a world class funky bluesy singer and guitarist. I well put my foot in it when I bumped into him at the bar whilst we were gigging at the same venue, and I stupidly asked him what he did as a day job. Feel my embarassment: He's opened for Neil Young, was in Jimmy James & The Vagabonds for a while, shared the stage with B.B.King, Bill Wyman, the Dubliners and was Acoustic Artist Of The Year 1999 and 2000. I think it's fair to say that he's a professional ... nevertheless, he still says he likes my songs! So now, completely humbled, I present his website ...

THE BRIAN TALBOT SOUNDThe Myspace page of the Greatest Rock'n'roll Band In The World, the Brian Talbot Sound. It features band background and biographies and some little known facts as well as a survey and a great mug shot of the duo.

BACKSTAGE COMMERCE / CD STREET This is an internet-based store where CDs from hundreds of artists, signed and unsigned alike, can be purchased online. 'Sacred Water' is available here for credit card purchasers in the US and internationally, and I also have a 'mini' site here.

BUNKERS HILL The Myspace page of my brother Jonny, which includes his blog and a place where you can learn much about his musical tastes and insights, and read a great diatribe on his least favourite estate agent.

CACTUS DOUG My own Myspace page. It contains my blog and features an interactive fridge that you can visit and leave me messages on, as well as quizzes, non-music related photos and and a picture of me you can draw all over if you're feeling abusive.

CACTUS DOUG's GREEN MAN RADIO Yes, it's our very own Launchcast Radio Station. Over time, the station gradually learns my musical preferences and will continue to improve as time goes on. If you want an inkling of the types of music it plays whilst you're browsing the net, check out my "Influences Page" from the "Contents" link.

CARL WOODFORD  An outstanding guitarist and co-organiser of Scarborough's Acoustic Gathering 2006,  which I had the pleasure of attending.

DESCENDANTS OF CAIN  A really rather good Soho-based Goth band whose studio I used to record 'Sacred Water'. Nice light show, ornate helmets, and a bunch of all round top people. Furthermore, I hear they've recently signed a contract that could see them with a European Tour as early as next year - so visit their site, and then you can say you knew them before they were famous!!

DEUCE MANAGEMENT & PROMOTION

Deuce Management are currently promoting my music. They provide promotion and representation for their musicians to a wide variety of music events, radio stations, and TV networks such as sattelite TV channel Propeller TV.

EL CLAN: MOTORCYCLE CLUB OF CHIHUAHUA  Yes, your spectacles are working! This is indeed the bikers' club of Chihuahua. El Clan's membership stretches all the way up to Canada (which I would imagine is a pretty long ride even on a Harley). I have a friend who is a biker in this club, so why not take a few minutes to sign their Guest Book.

FOLK & ROOTS  Folk & Roots is a hugely comprehensive database of folk & roots bands, gigs, record labels and information. As well as finding a link to Green Man Music here, you can also find links to the official sites of some of my own favourite folk & roots artists such as The Men They Couldn't Hang, the Levellers, Capercaille and so on. an eclectic mix of music from the traditional to the experimental, world, and singer-songwriter genres of acoustic music.

FOLKING  An online all-genres folk music community featuring album and gig reviews, MP3s, artist interviews and a large database of links to artist home pages.

GOOD AFTERNOON, EAST STAND  The myspace site of my borther Tim, recently making his own contribution to the Myspace craze with a specific and exhaustive list of general interests, plus some outstanding giraffe photography.

GUITAR TIPS, TABS & LINKS  A useful site which contains a number of links to various music sites, plus plenty of tabulation for songs of the "old favourites" genre, very helpful for the beginner. (Says me, who can't even read Tab). Best viewed with your pop-up blocker on.

HULL PAGANS  Interactive forum, support and news for those involved in the Pagan community in Hull. It's a membership group so you'll need to sign up to access the information, but it's free, and it's friendly.

KARL CULLEY Karl Culley is an unusual and excellent guitarist currently on the acoustic and folk scenes in Yorkshire, check out his site and have a listen to some of his original superfast guitar playing.

MATT FRANKS: TATE GALLERY
When we were in O-Level Art class together, Matt was always producing these wonderful portraits whilst the best I could manage was my work being described by the examiner as "A perforated pile of puke". While I found solace in drawing Aeroplane Man cartoons and playing my guitar, Matt became an internationally acclaimed fine artist and you should check out his styrofoam-tastic modern art.

MUSIC H.Q. Music H.Q. (Hull) Ltd. is a social enterprise company based in Hull, East Yorkshire, UK. It's the home to a number of local music events, notably Acoustic Wednesdays, Live @ The Lair, Rehab @ Sharkey's, Mugwump, Oxjam, and is also involved organising one of the venues at Cottingham Springboard Music Festival (see below).

THE MUSICIANS' UNION
A trade union that campaigns on behalf of musicians uk-wide (and through whose magazine I received a really good review!)

MYTHING LINKS - THE GREEN MAN A nice page on Green Man images around the world. More Green Man info can be found by using the "What Is The Green Man?" link on the menu to the left of the page.

NORTH SEA GAS Don't worry, this is not a link to your local showroom. North Sea Gas is a famed folk outfit who tour internationally, whose lineup now includes an old chum of mine, Grant Simpson, who I'd like the chance to see performing again sometime. OOTB (Out Of The Bedroom) A very good musicians' showcase of new singer/songwriter talent emerging in Edinburgh. Unlike many open-mic sessions, OOTB features only original material.

THE PAGAN FEDERATION Actively campaigns on behalf of pagans UK-wide and internationally to prevent defamation due to lack of information, and provides support, education and information as well as organising conferences. I have performed at both PF Scotland & Ireland and DruidCon events.

PEASELBERRY'S TRAVEL PICS is the site for Anna Bandanna's photos. An old (well, not that old) friend, Ms Bandanna is one of life's great travellers, spending her time gadavanting between the Scottish Central Belt, Seattle, Kuwait, Thailand and New Zealand. We last saw each other in Edinburgh, though we did manage to catch up for a coffee once in New York whilst both there coincidentally on the same weekend. Never one to waste a Master's Degree in psychology, she's currently one half of a singing duo living happily in a beach hut scoffing mangos. Anna Bandanna's BLOG IS HERE.

REAL BANDS The band site of a Pagan pal, Steph, promoting and showcasing musicians and their music, as an alternative to 'mainstream' chart output. If you're a non-manufactured musician and looking for some promotion, go and check it out; alternatively you can sign up as a listener. I'm particularly proud that her new site has already earned itself a "Parental Advisory" warning icon. Nice one!

SALTIEL.CO.UK To the lover of the esoteric, 'Saltiel' may sound like one of the seventy-two Spirits of Solomon, however it's my cousin Andy's surname and this is his web site. An explanation of the origin of the name is explained there. If you like both dry humour and Pink Floyd, you can't go wrong here really.

SCOTLOADS  has Scotloads of music, MP3s, CDs, and links to musicians' sites.

SHARPE DESIGNSOnline store selling various Green Man paraphenalia, including t-shirts.

SOLARISE RECORDS An online Independent record label showcasing all genres of unsigned Indie music worldwide and Independent films. Solarise manages credit card sales of the Sacred Water CD in the UK, and I have a mini-site here with shopping cart, biography and music samples.

TUESDAYS @THE TAP
Tues @ The Tap (at The Tap & Spile in Hull) is a weekly gig featuring a guest artist, followed by a lively Open Mic session. Tues @ The Tap is known for attracting excellent artists locally, regionally and nationally. Its sister event is Tea @ The Tap which is similar but runs late Sunday afternoons and without the Open Mic.

WORLD OF SPOONS World of Spoons is the website of another artist pal, Carl Desforges, featuring his Japanese-style anime mags Boiled Spoons and Burnt Soup. He's also launched a roleplaying game (Oscillating Haddock) based on the comic strips.

Specifically, they download and sell music on MP3 to people wanting to buy online in this format. Both La Vaquera and Sacred Water are available in this format from Woven Wheat Whispers.
