MATT FRANKS: TATE GALLERY
When we were in O-Level Art class together, Matt was always producing these wonderful portraits whilst the best I could manage was my work being described by the examiner as "A perforated pile of puke". While I found solace in drawing Aeroplane Man cartoons and playing my guitar, Matt became an internationally acclaimed fine artist and you should check out his styrofoam-tastic modern art by clicking the link above, and you can also see more by clicking here.

M.G.GREAVES & THE LONESOME TOO
Mike and Dave Greaves used to run an acoustic night with Ched Cheeseman at the Jailhouse (now Lamp) in Hull in the early 90s - which I found out about because I used to work with Mike's Dad! It turned out to be my first regular gig-ette and looking back, I owe quite a lot to that early exposure playing my own stuff. The last I heard, Mike was writing tracks for the Beautiful South.

MUSIC H.Q.
Music H.Q. Is the home of music promoter Darren Bunting, and Hull's weekly "Acoustic Wednesdays" night at The Tiger's Lair club. Acoustic Wednesdays features a weekly line-up of three or four local and regional bands and acts. Doors open at 8pm and at only £2 entry it's a good price for a quality mid-week night out.

THE MUSICIANS' UNION
A trade union that campaigns on behalf of musicians uk-wide (and through whose magazine I received a really good review!)

MYTHING LINKS - THE GREEN MAN
A nice page on Green Man images around the world. More Green Man info can be found by using the "What Is The Green Man?" link on the menu to the left of the page.

NORTH SEA GAS
Don't worry, this is not a link to your local showroom. North Sea Gas is a famed folk outfit who tour internationally, whose lineup now includes an old chum of mine, Grant Simpson, who I'd like the chance to see performing again sometime.

OOTB (Out Of The Bedroom)
A very good musicians' showcase of new singer/songwriter talent emerging in Edinburgh. Unlike many open-mic sessions, OOTB features only original material.

THE PAGAN FEDERATION
Actively campaigns on behalf of pagans UK-wide and internationally to prevent defamation due to lack of information, and provides support, education and information as well as organising conferences. I have performed at both PF Scotland & Ireland and DruidCon events.

PEASELBERRY'S BLOG
This is Anna Bandanna's blog. An old (well, not that old) friend, Ms Bandanna is one of life's great travellers, spending her time gadavanting between the Scottish Central Belt, Seattle, Kuwait and Thailand. We last saw each other in Edinburgh, though we did manage to catch up for a coffee once in New York whilst both there coincidentally on the same weekend. Never one to waste a Master's Degree in psychology, she's currently one half of a singing duo living happily in a beach hut scoffing mangos.

REAL BANDS
The new band site of a Pagan pal, Steph, promoting and showcasing musicians and their music, as an alternative to 'mainstream' chart output. If you're a non-manufactured musician and looking for some promotion, go and check it out; alternatively you can sign up as a listener. I'm particularly proud that her new site has already earned itself a "Parental Advisory" warning icon. Nice one!

SALTIEL.CO.UK
To the lover of the esoteric, 'Saltiel' may sound like one of the seventy-two Spirits of Solomon, however it's my cousin Andy's surname and this is his web site. An explanation of the origin of the name is explained there. If you like both dry humour and Pink Floyd, you can't go wrong here really.

SOLARISE RECORDS
An online Independent record label showcasing all genres of unsigned Indie music worldwide and Independent films. Solarise manages credit card sales of the Sacred Water CD in the UK, and I have a mini-site here with shopping cart, biography and music samples.

WORLD OF SPOONS
World of Spoons is the website of another artist pal, Carl Desforges, featuring his Japanese-style anime mags Boiled Spoons and Burnt Soup. He's also launched a roleplaying game (Oscillating Haddock) based on the comic strips.

WOVEN WHEAT WHISPERS
May the circle be unbroken. Woven Wheat Whispers holds a huge catalogue of folk music of all types and within a very broad definition of that genre. Specifically, they download and sell music on MP3 to people wanting to buy online in this format. Sacred Water is now available in this format from Woven Wheat Whispers. Plus free samples are available.
