AUGUST 2006:  Springboard Summer Bash & Lammas Fair

This month I have had some airplay on BBC Radio York, and played a couple of summer festivals, Springboard (covered on BBC Look North, the Hull Daily Mail and BBC Radio York) and was the opening act for the Sentry Circle Lammas Fair in North Yorkshire. I'm currently working on some designs for the cover of my new CD, and will also soon have available a short video of my set at the Springboard Festival.

JULY 2006:       Radio Humberside & Filey Folk Festival

This month I have been interviewed with a live performance on BBC Radio Humberside. A limited edition CD of this event (20, two issues of ten) is winging its way to some close friends and supporters of my music. As there is some strange audio effect with the guitar, I'll probably have it remastered and reissue it again later in the year.  There are some delays with this process so if you're on my hit list please be patient ;-) Plus I've also spent a weekend at the Filey Folk Festival. For more information on our experiences at this event and to see photographs, visit my blog by clicking  HERE

APRIL 2006:          Back From Basque

Well this month I spent seven days in Bilbao, which I think has provided a much needed boost to my oft none-too-good health. For the low down on it my blog is HERE. Other than that it's been the usual Open Mic line up plus a photoshoot for the Springboard festival (see above announcement), for which I'm practicising some of my older favourites from the CD.

MARCH 2006:          New Pages Under Construction

Due to changes in my hosting account I've now much more page space, so a couple of new pages are being added now, and then the site will, in the future, receive some more major development. One of these may be an interactive section with surveys and Web TV, I'll be working on it over the coming weeks.  I've also been getting into the Myspace community ... beware if you're thinking of starting a Myspace, it's addictive ...! (But also much easier and accessible than running a site like this!)

Thanks to the close friends whose kind words and wonderful company have made this hard part of the year so much easier for me - you know who you are :-) This month I've spent a couple of weeks in Edinburgh and managed to squeeze in a couple of gigs. Some new photos have already been added to the Gallery, more to follow.

This Page Is Dedicated To The Memory Of Myra Paulsen

Myra Paulsen passed away at Samhain 2005. Always a generous and caring friend to me, she and husband Hans are well known on the Scottish and Danish folk music scenes. Myra was alsoa Pagan of wit and wisdom, and she will be sorely missed by the those who have been inspired by her over the years and received her counsel.
